Portal Framed Building
The Steel Storage custom-designed Portal Framed Building is a systemised component method for the assembly of light industrial buildings.
Standard joints detailed to suit a range of design conditions and parameters are drawn upon to assemble building components fabricated from a standard range of sections utilising bolted joints, minimising fabrication and assembly on site.
Building Assembly
Buildings are assembled on reinforced concrete slabs incorporating foundations, and hold down/ anchor bolts are typically drilled into the slab after curing to allow for ease of construction and greater planning flexibility.
Portal frames fabricated from 'C' section beams and columns are connected using pre-fabricated connection plates. The beam and column 'C' sections are factory produced in controlled conditions, pre-cut and pre-punched to specific tolerances in an ISO 9000 and ISO 9001 quality-assured factory environment.
Buildings are clad with profiled metal sheeting, with insulation if required by client or planning authority.
